Discover the peace and quiet of our small-scale holiday farm Le Douvet near the lbeautiful akes, les Lacs de Haute Charente. In this haven of tranquility we rent out two spacious gîtes, each with its own garden and terrace. During the summer we also run a small campsite with spacious pitches and a traveller's room in our barn. There's a place for everyone to enjoy a wonderful holiday in the middle of nature in the French countryside.
In addition to enjoying an undisturbed holiday, we also like to offer our guests the opportunity to meet each other, at the campsite or around a campfire. Children have plenty of space to play and discover the area. There is a nature trail around the large meadow, with two watchtowers and an adventure tower with swings.
Our donkeys, ponies and miniature goats graze in the fields around Le Douvet, and can be brushed and cuddled. And you will find our dog Bowie and cat Pepijn roaming around our yard as well as our chickens. In short, an excellent place for people and animals to enjoy the simple pleasures of life in the French countryside. Soyez le bienvenu!

Welcome to Le Douvet holiday home
We are Joop and Cathelijne and have been living in the Charente since 2007, a rural and sunny place in France, where the living is easy. People still make time for each other, to go for a walk, to go cycling or fishing in the lakes and enjoy the gastronomy, in short, make time for the good life. We like to share that with you!
